Working together with local Lions and Lion leaders, we assess urgent needs and quickly deliver aid to disaster victims. Lions know that a disaster can affect anyone’s community, whether it’s halfway around the world or right at home.

LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION (LCIF) Emergency Grant GE14627/UND A significant flood occurred in the Vere River valley in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, on the night of 13 to 14 June 2015. It resulted in at least 23human deaths and struck the Tbilisi Zoo leaving half of its animal inhabitants either dead or on the loose.
About 50 people were admitted for mild-to-moderate injuries; most of them were discharged from hospitals on the same day. Of the 24 people reported as missing as of late 14 June. More than 60 families were left homeless and 22,000 people were left without electricity. District where was flood gave us list of victim families and temporary location Shelters, Hotels where they stay. Georgia Lions members handed the donations- Medical Supplies. Food/Water, Clothing household appliances, other inventory, foodstuff, etc. to the families.
