Project title: Lions diabetes Emergency Group
Project area: Imereti region, c. Tskaltubo, Shida Kartli region – c. Gori, Samtskhe Javakheti region – c.Akhaltsikhe.
Target groups: diabetics and those in the risk groups, along with the socially vulnerable and IDPs within the age 18-75.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to improve the lives of diabetic people through tuition. The patients equipped with cutting edge knowledge and motivation better control their health statement and absorb right management of the ilness in cooperation with the physician; the treatment is rather fruitful, number of complications decrees which results in rising the life quality. To rise awareness in diabetic and people and those in the risk group in terms of the illness and its side complications. To get command with detecting the initial symptoms, its management and control and to establish healthy lifestyle in daily life.

The project was implemented in three regions and was distinguished by an active population. More than 315 beneficiaries participated in the training.
The project was implemented by the qualify specialists: Endocrinologist, Nutritionist, Psychologist, Podologist and Fitness Instructor.During the implementation of the project, “Lyon” increased the number of people in clubs, and we still hope that together we can help the population.
